SIP’s mission is to facilitate a life-altering experience for students, by placing them as summer interns in research groups/labs, where they work as members of a real scientific research team.

Science Internship Program

A film and photographic essay was made highlighting the Science Internship Program and the experience they provide to youth exploring futures in STEM. This project was filmed on location for several days and featured first hand accounts from several participants and advocates of the program.

Since its inception, the program has included students from 158 different California high schools, 54 high schools in other US states, and 56 international schools.
